First we clean and prep your skin. The Mesoestetic Cosmelan mask is evenly applied in a thick layer. You'll be provided with instructions to help you with removal, a full after-care kit, as well as guidelines for use.

At Home Care Regimen

A 30-day long-term home care program will be provided that effectively acts on all phases of the hyperpigmentation process.

Using a mixture of effective ingredients, the Cosmelan peel is designed to treat and prevent different types of skin discolouration and hyperpigmentation concerns.

The active ingredients work to decrease natural melanin production by reducing surface pigment.

The main actives included in this formula are

Azelaic Acid - Responsible for killing bacteria on the surface of the skin and boosts new skin cell production

Kojic Acid - An acid derived from several different types of naturally-existing fungi, inhibits the production of melanin in the skin.
How quickly can results be seen?

Results can be seen in as little as two weeks and can continue to improve with the best results being between 30-60 days following treatment.
What is my recovery like after Cosmelan?

Two to three days after treatment is applied, the skin will begin to flake and peel. For these first few days, the face may feel tight, itchy, and slightly red. It is possible to continue to peel for a couple of weeks post-treatment but it is rare.
Does Cosmelan only treat the face?

Cosmelan can also be used on the body. Most commonly used on the back, shoulders, arms, and hands.
Why is the home care important after Cosmelan?

The home care process includes a maintenance cream that supports the treatment process. This cream regulates the production of melanocytes to stop the pattern of abnormal melanin causing hyperpigmentation over time. Without this additional step, your hyperpigmentation will most likely return as the melanocyte will continue reproducing.

What skin types are best for the Cosmelan treatment?

The Cosmelan Peel and at-home care doesn't involve the use of hydroquinone which means all skin types can benefit from this treatment!
What types of pigment issues can the Cosmelan treatment help?

Cosmelan is a product that can treat all types of pigmentation such as melasma, post-inflammatory pigmentation, solar and senile lentigo (age spots), and freckles.
Products to avoid while using the Cosmelan Peel?

You should avoid any products containing Vitamin C or Retinols ( Vitamin A derivatives) throughout the treatment. These ingredients will be too stimulating for the skin as the treatment itself already contains these. Complete aftercare will be discussed with you during your consultation.
Can the Cosmelan treatment be combined with any other services??
