  • What can I expect after a SkinPen procedure?

    Immediately after your treatment, your skin is expected to look and feel like a sunburn with mild to moderate redness, slight swelling, feeling tight, and mild burning sensation for the first 24 hours. The next day will be more comfortable, however redness will be visible. Side effects are temporary and typically resolve within three days. Mild flaking typically starts on day 2 or 3 of your healing process and my flake for up to 5 – 7 days. Total healing time depends on the depth of the treatment, skin type and skin condition. Some patients may heal completely in 24 hours. Proper post-care is provided to ensure more effective healing.


  • Is it painful?

    Topical numbing is applied to the skin to ensure a more comfortable treatment. Most patients report feeling a tickling sensation, thus no medication or anesthesia is needed.

    This customized facial will start with a manual double cleanse, tone, and dermaplane which is a medical-grade exfoliation that eliminates dead skin cells and vellus hair ( peach fuzz) from the surface of the skin. Removing the vellus hair (which traps oil and dirt that causes clog pores) allows for better product penetration and a smoother complexion. It reduces the appearance of fine lines and hyperpigmentation. A Hydro jelly mask specific to your skin type will be applied followed by moisture and sun protection.

    The Jessner is a medium-depth peel that is suitable for most people. This can be used as a first-time peel or can be used as a maintenance program the Jessner peel includes 14% lactic 40% salicylic and 14% resorcinol all in one. The  Jessner is designed to be a mild-medium chemical peel that targets hyper pigmentation from the sun,  minimizes fine lines, aids in dissipating blemishes, and evens out skin texture in tone while minimizing pore size.
