  • What can I expect after a SkinPen procedure?

    Immediately after your treatment, your skin is expected to look and feel like a sunburn with mild to moderate redness, slight swelling, feeling tight, and mild burning sensation for the first 24 hours. The next day will be more comfortable, however redness will be visible. Side effects are temporary and typically resolve within three days. Mild flaking typically starts on day 2 or 3 of your healing process and my flake for up to 5 – 7 days. Total healing time depends on the depth of the treatment, skin type and skin condition. Some patients may heal completely in 24 hours. Proper post-care is provided to ensure more effective healing.


  • Is it painful?

    Topical numbing is applied to the skin to ensure a more comfortable treatment. Most patients report feeling a tickling sensation, thus no medication or anesthesia is needed.

Removing the vellus hair (which traps oil and dirt that causes clog pores) allows for better product penetration and a smoother complexion. It reduces the appearance of fine lines and hyperpigmentation. A Hydro jelly mask specific to your skin type will be applied followed by moisture and sun protection.
